Who is Max?

Max came to India to do business, but lying dormant underneath was a burning desire to understand and connect with the country of his ancestors.  Despite his settled life in Goa, he knew deep down that there was something more he had to do.  This gradually grew into the idea for the walk.  To understand his roots and himself better, he realised that he had to understand the country.  He decided that the best way to do this was on the ground, slowly.  Beside his personal journey is the desire to help those people, animals and places less fortunate than himself.  It’s a desire that was born out of the realisation that, had things been slightly different, he too might have been in that position.  By raising funds through his physical efforts he intends to give something back to the country he loves.
